Hiking in Namibia is a truly great experience. Here you can enjoy endless views, feel at one with nature and fully appreciate the beauty and harshness of the land. Free your mind while walking through pristine landscapes, sleep under the stars, stand with awe on top of a mountains and all that without meeting anybody. Hiking options range from exploring age old mountains across the country, the second largest canyon in Africa for a week, traversing across the oldest desert and highest dunes on earth and exploring the fragile coastline. There are numerous places that all levels of walkers can enjoy and the best time to hike is between April and October when the weather is cooler. Namibian summers can be incredibly hot – over 40C so it’s not really a time of year that we recommend.
